From Susan: This feather remained in my jersey pocket during the 300mile Circles On a Mission Bicycle Ride. It was borrowed from the Bible of Betty Bennett Henderson, who recently passed away. Betty enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flowers, fruit trees, and delighting in the birds. As a teenager visiting her daughterJeanie, I often preferred to tag along with Betty as she proudly shared her backyard treasures. She was a woman with a strong faith, committed to her church, where many hugs were given. She was supremely devoted to her family.Betty and I were planning a road trip to visit her family; now we will wait for the ultimate gathering.
From Susan: Day 5 of Circles On a Mission Bicycle Ride: DONE. We had mostly good pavement, great weather, and splendid hospitality at Hilda and Jim Hamilton’s picnic table. Every time I see the cross and flame on a United Methodist Church sign, I ask the Holy Spirit to set me on fire from within! Try it. I have tons of gratitude for the tremendous support of my church. Knowing that someone was always praying for God’s will to be done is amazing. Please remember to support the various missions of the United Methodist Women.
