First United Methodist Youth

For:  Grades 6-12

Mission statement: To grow our youth to become firm in their Faith, while becoming Disciples of Jesus Christ so that they will impact the lives of  their friends and community. 

Our ministry teaches the essential tools in order to navigate through the issues facing students in today’s society. We offer several different programs:

Meets Weekly

• Sunday School  (9:00 AM – 9:45 AM)
  An intimate small group bible study on Sunday mornings that allows students to discover and understand how to apply the bible in today’s world.

Other

• Retreats- Are times that we spend away from our normal day to day life and enjoy moments of God’s grace and our faith with our district/conference peers.
  
  
• Mission Trips/Community Projects - We believe strongly in giving back and helping those who are in need of our help and God’s word. These trips/projects can range from local to national summer trips.
  
  
• Conferences - We attend several conferences that range from district levels to our national conference level. These allows for our students to grow in their faith.
