Dear FUMC Musicians,
What wonderful music you offered on Sunday! "Bamalela" was about as much fun as we can get away with during the Lenten season. I was thrilled with the joy and style the Chancel Choir offered. Perfect for another rainy day in a very rainy month. I received many compliments on the Praise Band's "Honor and Praise." Many people commented on how lovely Ron Yule played the violin.
There has been a virus spreading through our ensembles of signing out for late for several weeks in a row. Of course, each of us needs a vacation, but please be considerate of your fellow musicians and sign out in advance. This helps me with planning and eliminates a lot of wasted rehearsal time caused by changing anthems after we have already begun putting a piece of music together. Please sign out on the calendar and speak to me directly or through an email if you are planning to be away.
Each of you are a very important piece of the Music Ministry at FUMC DeRidder and your absence affects the entire Worship experience. The congregation and staff of the church depend on you to lead Worship weekly. It is a great way to offer your time and talents to God. Please be faithful in attendance when you can.
