It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of longtime member Marvin Jackson. Marvin's 97+ years on this earth concluded this past Saturday at the VA home in Jennings. Visitation will be at Labby Memorial tomorrow, Wednesday, October 3, beginning at noon. We will have a worship of celebration and remembrance at 2:30 Wednesday, also at Labby. His obituary may be found here.

By now, you have gotten a good bit of information about our A Disciple's Path season, and we are so excited by the number of you who have expressed interest in being part not only of the Sunday morning worship portion of this series, but one of the three different weekly group studies we are hosting to further our exploration of being a disciple of Jesus Christ.

This morning, we posted a short preview video to our Facebook page, and we hope (even if you have already committed to being a participant) that you will take the 2:30 to hear directly from the authors themselves. The video is also a great way to share this program with others whom you know would be blessed by participating in this special season. You may view the preview video by clicking on the title card at the bottom of this message.

If you want to get a head start, the group materials are available now in our church office. There is no charge for anyone to get the study materials, but they do cost the church $25 if you feel led to reimburse the church for the cost.

Our WEDNESDAY NIGHT group study begins TOMORROW (10/03) @ 6:00PM.

The SUNDAY SCHOOL group study begins SUNDAY (10/07) @ 9:00AM.

The SUNDAY WORSHIP SERIES begins SUNDAY (10/07) @ 10:00AM.

The SUNDAY EVENING group study begins SUNDAY (10/07) @ 5:15PM.
