GRADUATE RECOGNITION SUNDAY

Dear Friends:

I know it's only Tuesday, but in the words of an old preacher, "Sunday'salways a-comin'." 

This Sunday is a very special day in our congregation as we during worship will recognize and give thanks to God for various members of the Class of 2018 who are part of our church or our church's extended family. 

Graduation is such a special time in the lives of the graduates and their families; looking at both high school and college graduates it is evident that God has graced us with some truly outstanding young people who definitely have the potential to be truly transformative agents in the life of our church, community, and world.

SO AS TO HELP SUNDAY BE AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE, WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP ON TWO SPECIFIC ACTIONS:

1. BE IN PRAYER FOR OUR GRADUATES AND THEIR FAMILIES. There is so much going on during these hectic times of ceremonies, parties, graduation trips, family coming and going - let us covenant together as a community of prayer for those in these situations.

2. IF YOU ARE OR ARE A FAMILY MEMBER OF A HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE GRADUATE (whether or not you will be able to make it Sunday - we know of at least one who already will be traveling this weekend) please reply to this message or email Camille () with your graduate's full name, school from which they are graduating, and what the next steps are in life (enrolling in another school or degree program, headed to the workforce, or whatever may be next) along with a headshot. So that we can be sure to have plenty of time to prepare our worship guide, PLEASE HAVE THIS INFORMATION TO US BY 3:00PM WEDNESDAY.
